Framing Contractor in South Jersey & Philadelphia
Every straight wall, flat floor and square opening starts with the frame. Our carpenters build structures that are plumb, level, square and ready for inspection.
Residential Framing Done Right in South Jersey
Framing is the skeleton of a building. When it is done right, drywall goes up flat, doors close properly, tile stays crack-free and the structure performs for generations. When it is rushed, every trade that follows inherits the problem. DBella Builders provides rough framing and structural carpentry in South Jersey, Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania for homeowners, builders and investors.
We frame from stamped plans for new construction and home additions, and we work with structural engineers when a remodel calls for beams, posts or modified load paths.

Load-Bearing Wall Removal in South Jersey and Philadelphia
Homes across this region were built with small, separate rooms. Removing the wall between the kitchen and living room is one of the most requested projects here, and it has to be done correctly, especially in Philadelphia row homes where the party walls carry load. We determine whether the wall is load-bearing, have the beam sized by an engineer when required, install temporary shoring, set the beam and posts on proper bearing and pass the township framing inspection before anything is covered. We also frame for basement finishing and new home construction, and our own crews close everything up with drywall once the framing passes.

Framing FAQs
How do I know if a wall is load-bearing?
Walls near the center of the house, walls that run perpendicular to the joists above and walls stacked under other walls are often load-bearing, but only an on-site evaluation can confirm it. We check before we quote, and bring in an engineer when needed.
Do I need a permit to remove a wall in Pennsylvania?
Removing a load-bearing wall requires a building permit. A non-structural partition usually does not, although electrical or plumbing inside the wall may trigger one. We handle the permit for you.
Do you work from an architect's plans?
Yes. New homes and additions are framed from stamped drawings, and we coordinate directly with your architect and engineer.
Do you frame for other builders and contractors?
Yes. We take framing-only contracts for builders and investors across the region.
How long does framing take?
A basement takes a few days. A typical addition takes one to two weeks. A new home usually takes two to four weeks, depending on size and weather.
