Flooring Installation in South Jersey & Philadelphia

Beautiful floors start below the surface. We prepare the subfloor properly, install with precision and finish every transition and edge cleanly.

A Flooring Contractor in South Jersey That Gets the Prep Right

Most flooring failures, such as squeaks, gaps, cracked tile and lifting planks, come from what is underneath: uneven subfloors, moisture and skipped prep. DBella Builders installs flooring in South Jersey, Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania with the prep work done first: leveling, moisture testing, subfloor repair and the right underlayment for each material.

As a general contractor, we also handle everything around the floor: removing old flooring, trimming doors, replacing baseboards, repairing subfloor damage and painting afterward.

Flooring for Slab Homes and Older Floors in South Jersey

What goes down depends on what is underneath. Ranchers and additions built on concrete slabs across South Jersey need engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank or tile, plus a moisture test before anything is installed. Homes with plywood subfloors in Moorestown, Haddonfield, Media and Doylestown take solid hardwood well, and many Philadelphia row homes still have original pine or oak worth refinishing rather than replacing. We install floors as part of kitchen remodels and basement finishing projects throughout the region.

Flooring FAQs

What is the best flooring for a concrete slab?

Engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank and tile all perform well over concrete. Solid hardwood needs a plywood subfloor, so it is rarely the right choice directly over a slab.

Should I choose luxury vinyl plank or hardwood?

LVP is waterproof, affordable and very durable, which makes it a strong choice for kitchens, basements and homes with kids and pets. Hardwood costs more but can be refinished several times and adds lasting value. We bring samples of both to your home.

How long does flooring installation take?

Most rooms take one to three days. A whole floor of the house usually takes about a week. Wood products also need a few days to acclimate in your home before installation.

Do you remove old flooring and move furniture?

Yes. Removal and disposal of old carpet, tile, vinyl or wood is part of our quote, and we move furniture as needed.

Can you install flooring in a basement?

Yes. We use products rated for below-grade spaces, such as LVP, tile and certain engineered floors, and we test the slab for moisture first.
